Improve your solo jazz and blues dancing through exercises for body awareness and alignment. This workshop will show you how to activate your dancing muscles for smooth, flowing movement, giving you a better ability to make the shapes you would like and to feel good in your dancing movement.
By becoming more aware of your body and how you align yourself in space, you can make movement choices that feel really good. We will look at core muscles, how to activate them, and how to integrate all of your muscles into some common solo jazz and blues moves.
Not only can increased body awareness help you express yourself in more ways, but you can also reduce aches and pains you may be experiencing when you dance.
The exercises in this workshop will be based on the principals and practices of Pilates and somatic awareness.
This is a free class as as my first online event. A test-run for me to test the software and then deliver more classes online in the future.
